As The NUSChoir celebrates its 45th anniversary, Tides of Time invites you on a musical journey through its evolution: reminiscing our humble beginnings, reflecting on the heights we have reached today, and expressing our hope for what lies beyond. Like the ever-changing tides, our choir has ebbed and flowed, growing with each wave of experience.

This concert is divided into four chapters, each representing a defining period in The NUSChoir’s history. We begin with Finding Our Footing (1981–2000), a time of exploration and discovery as we laid the foundation of our identity amidst an emerging choral scene in Singapore. The next chapter, Validation in Singapore (2001–2012), reflects our establishment within the local choral scene, where we found our voice and confidence. International Recognition (2013–2024) follows, marking our ascent onto the global stage, where we embraced new challenges and artistic expression. Finally, Future and Beyond (2025–) envisions the uncharted waters ahead, as we continue striving for greater heights.

With a repertoire that spans centuries and cultures – from Renaissance classics like the timeless Locus Iste to contemporary compositions like Kenneth Tay’s Duo Seraphim – we honour our past while embracing the future. Join us as we ride the Tides of Time, celebrating 45 years of music, passion, and growth.

Terms of Ticket Sales

• Once sold, tickets are strictly non-refundable or exchangeable unless the Singapore government mandates the closure of events in Singapore. All information given is correct at the time of publishing, but is subject to change without prior notice. The Promoter reserves all rights to amend any terms and conditions without prior notice, and, in the event of any dispute, the Promoter’s decision is final.

Conditions of Entry

• Admission is subject to valid tickets produced at the entrance.
• Each ticket admits one person.

General

• In the interest of all patrons, latecomers will not be seated until a suitable break in the performance;
• Mobile phones must be switched off or switched to silent mode in the theatre;
• Patrons are required to follow all house rules and regulations set out by the venue. The House Rules are displayed within the venue premises;
• No food and drinks are allowed in the venue.

The NUSChoir

The NUSChoir is an award-winning youth choir founded in 1980. The NUSChoir aims to nurture a community of passionate choristers, and share musical experiences that inspire and resonate with the wider choral community. It also strives to bring music to both local and international audiences through participating in various performances and competitions.

Under the direction of Singapore's premier choir director Mr Nelson Kwei, and excellent voice tutors Mr Reuben Lai and Mr Kane Teo, The NUSChoir continues to pursue its passions and brings excellence to the choral scene.
